The versatility of SmartDitch makes it applicable in numerous applications outside of the mainstream, including landfill drainage, water clarifcation channels and other industrial uses. When used on industrial sites, SmartDitch can serve as a site containment system, emergency flow collection channel or as an overflow channel for dams and sedimentation ponds.  The product’s HDPE material withstands abrasive flows, corrosion, and even the most aggressive chemical attacks.  SmartDitch is ideal for both acid and alkali environments. 

When used as a down flow system in landfills, SmartDitch can be used to reduce erosion and be designed as a collector and outlet for the drainage system.  SmartDitch’s lightweight design makes it the perfect product to install on these difficult sites.

In many different instances SmartDitch can be used for above ground temporary flow diversions.  The channel sections sit snuggly in HDPE saddles designed to be used above ground for temporary applications or as permanent cradles when installing the channel sections in unstable soil conditions.
